In a number of emerging markets in Asia & Africa, in-person interviewing is still the norm rather than the exception. This is particularly true for audiences from the lower social classes, the rural areas and those with poor/ irregular internet access. In-person surveys are also required for hard-to-reach audiences that are not part of online panels.
